Extract from the Rules
Group supervisors are required to inform participants of the provisions of the Rules for Visiting Parliament for visits organised by the Chancellery of the Senate and to ensure compliance with them.
During a visit to Parliament, visitors must:
- comply with the instructions of parliamentary guides and officers of the Marshal’s Guard;
- in the chambers, occupy only the seats indicated by the guide;
- when moving around the Senate Chamber, use only the outer aisle (where necessary in order to reach seats in the government and experts’ gallery; this applies to groups of more than 22 people);
- remain quiet, behave with due decorum and dress appropriately for the occasion;
- refrain from expressing approval or disapproval of statements made by parliamentarians (during plenary sittings of the Senate or the Sejm);
- leave outerwear and luggage, including hand luggage, in the cloakroom;
- switch mobile phones to silent mode.
During the tour, visitors are prohibited from:
- leaving the group or moving around the Parliament buildings unaccompanied;
- bringing dangerous materials or objects into the Parliament buildings;
- photographing officers of the Marshal’s Guard or the State Protection Service, the security screening process, or equipment used for such screening;
- sitting in seats reserved for Senators or in the seat of the President of the Republic of Poland, or approaching the presiding officers’ table.
